Nicholas Croghan is an artist and curator who currently lives in Pensacola, FL. He primarily works within the expanding field of drawing and uses traditional and non-traditional materials to create mixed-media 2D and 3D art objects.
Croghan is a specialist in the medium of metalpoint, which includes silverpoint, copperpoint, goldpoint, brasspoint, and nickelpoint. He employs this medium to investigate the fine details of mechanical systems, landscapes, and architecture.
Croghan moved from the Rocky Mountains to the Gulf Coast in 2012 to teach museum studies and fine art classes in the Department of Art and Design at the University of West Florida. Since 2019, he has been the Director of the Pensacola Museum of Art.

Croghan received a bachelor’s of fine arts degree from Murray State University, a master’s degree in art from the University of Louisville, and a master’s in fine arts degree from Colorado State University.
